Carousel's Are Fast!

Carousel's are fast. Really fast. No, seriously, I thought I was gonna fall off of it.
We took Talon to the Markham Fair on the weekend and plopped him up on a horse for his first carnival ride. Again, a metrestone. I went on the first go-round with him and thought I had a pretty good position holding him on the horse. Until. It. Started. Moving. FAST. I was standing on the inside position holding him as he went higher than I thought he would and, let's face it, I'm not tall. The carnie yelled at me to stand on the inside lane and I thought I was going to dive into the mechanisms of the ride as I tried to navigate around the horse's...um rump.
As we went round and round (and round) Mike was sure to get lots of photos of some guy with his kid. I swear, we have like four. Great action shots, and it wasn't too sunny, I think we'll frame them.

On our way to the fair!

Happy 1st Birthday!

On Talon's 1st birthday we took him to the duck pond by our house to feed the chipmunks! He had a fun time and even tried to reach out to touch them!

The next day we had Talon's first birthday party!
He tried cake (wasn't a fan at his party, but oh, did he love it the next day!)
He had such a fun time with his little friends and opened lots of presents! He tried to eat the cheesies that were out on the table and stretched him arms right over the bowl and yelled as if to say "someone, give me one!"

Here are some photos of the day!
