I Wanna Hippopotamus For Christmas (or maybe just for Mommy to stop singing that song to me!)

Okay so it's a catchy tune and I've been singing it a lot. Maybe too much. See for yourself, Talon does not like it!

First Giggles!

Talon's first giggles! Quite possibly the most beautiful sound in the world. I'm going to try and get a video up of him giggling but every time I pull out the camera he becomes fascinated with it and stops laughing!
He seems to giggle the most when I am changing his clothes and I tickle under his arms. It's hilarious!

Rolling On Side

Last night Talon rolled onto his side twice. I was quite surprised to see him doing it as I wasn't expecting this for a few months. He was trying to see a mirror toy and turned his shoulder and leg to get a look at it. He did this twice. I am surprised at how quickly he is growing. He is trying to grab his toys a lot more now and is smiling and laughing all throughout the day. I have even noticed his hair is starting to grow back from when he was born. I remember the first few baths we gave him I would brush his hair, then it all disappeared. Now it seems to be growing back!

Months Not Weeks

I don't know when this happened, I think around 9 weeks, but I stopped counting how many weeks Talon was. Now when people ask how old he is I say 2 months. Mike and I figured out he is 11 weeks now, but we say he is 2.5 months. Time has gone by so quickly! He is getting bigger every day. At his 2 month dr. appointment Dr. Li said he was 12 lbs. and 3 oz. He has almost doubled his birth weight!

Sticking Out Tongue

I thought I would try to see if Talon would copy me if I stuck out my tongue (something Mike says I will later regret teaching him, haha). It takes him a few moments but he will try to mimic me and will stick his tongue out of his mouth! He's done it a few times and it's pretty funny!

Grabbing

Talon has started grabbing for things with his hands when he is playing. He will reach for his books and has gotten hold of them at times. He also grabs for your hand to put it in his mouth and will try to hold his soother in with his wrists when he is sucking it.
